Ready to schedule a consultation or evaluation?

Parents should consider reaching out to a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) if their child:

  • Minimal use of gestures, pointing, or babbling by 12-15 months.

  • Delayed speech & language milestones such as limited number of words in their vocabulary or unable to combine two words (i.e around two years of age).

  • Has difficulty being understood by others, even by family members.

  • Struggles with pronunciation, leaving out sounds, or substituting sounds

  • Has trouble understanding what people say such as following directions, answering questions, or identifying things in their environment.

  • Shows frustration when communicating, such as avoiding speaking or becoming upset when not understood.

  • Stutters frequently, repeats sounds, syllables, or words, or experiences tension when speaking.

  • Social communication concerns, such as trouble starting a conversation, taking turns in conversation, or understanding social cues.
